As India’s domestic production (29MMT) + Imports of crude oil (243 MMT) from different countries, in total it is approximately 272 MMT per annum. Now we will see how much quantity of those oils are refined and being exported.

India is a major exporter of Petroleum Fuels and Oils, due to its large refining capacity. Total refineries in India are 23.

In FY2024-25, India exported petroleum products worth about $45 billion. The main export destinations are UAE, UK, Hong Kong and Singapore.

India exported 47.5 million metric tonnes of petroleum products from April to Dec 2024.
